Warm summer evenings are perfect for impromptu art crawls, and three art shows debuting around the neighborhood this weekend offer excellent excuses to get there and explore.

No Touching: Arrested Development Art Show

Holding your breath until the fifth season of Arrested Development hits Netflix? Then take a deep breath and head down to Heron Arts (7 Heron St.) this Friday evening to catch the opening of No Touching: Arrested Development Art Show, featuring the work of more than 30 artists inspired by the Bluth family's antics.

“Bodies”

For something a little more intimate, drop by Wicked Grounds next to meet local artist Darby Rages and explore her sensual solo show “Bodies.” With a series of watercolor images portraying adults of various genders, races, sizes and shapes, the show offers "an exploration of skin and challenges the viewer to examine what we read into bodies, what we find beautiful and how we judge ourselves, and others."

Guests will also have the opportunity to create their own watercolor masterpieces—on edible cookie canvases.

"It's Your Town"

Fans of San Francisco-inspired art, and vodka, won't want to miss "It's Your Town" at Mirus Gallery on Saturday evening. Local artist Chad Hasegawa—best known for his giant abstract brown bears—and his sponsor New Amsterdam Vodka will be celebrating the completion of a new mural on Seventh Street just off Market. Hasegawa will also unveil seven new pieces inspired by the city.
