Two separate shootings in the Mission last night left two victims dead and another injured.

According to Mission Local, the first shooting occurred around 8:46pm at 16th and South Van Ness. One female victim was pronounced dead at the scene and one male victim was transported to the hospital, where he died of his injuries. Both were between the ages of 20 and 30.

Not long after, around 10:04pm, Mission Local reports that police responded to a call of a man shot at 14th and Valencia. The unidentified victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.

Last night, Officer Giselle Talkoff told Mission Local that while it was unclear whether the shootings were connected, there didn't appear to be a "threat to the public."

This morning, SFPD states that suspects have not been identified in either shooting, and no further details are available at this time.

The Medical Examiner's Office has also confirmed that the identities of the two deceased victims have not yet been released.

According to Mission Local, last night's shootings were the eighth and ninth homicides in the Mission this year. Within just the past few weeks, 27-year-old Jermaine Jackson Jr. was shot and killed at Vermont and 25th, 21-year-old Lisa Williams was shot and killed on the 800 block of South Van Ness, and a man in his early 20s was shot and killed at Mission and Geneva in the Outer Mission.
