FiDi 'La Boulangerie' Debuts Today At Washington & MontgomeryA mint-grasshopper au lait. | Photo: La Boulange de San Francisco

Thanks to tipster Chris C., we've learned that a new La Boulangerie de San Francisco has opened this morning at 655 Montgomery St. (at Washington), in the shadow of the Transamerica Pyramid.

As we reported in June, the local café chain is also opening new spots in Mission Bay and Oakland's Rockridge; the new FiDi location is its seventh location.

At the time, La Boulangerie partner Nicolas Bernadi said the new FiDi location "will be very small" and would be used to validate "a new concept of a more intimate, on-the-go environment."

As promised, the new spot is about 300 square feet, but offers an array of pastries and savory items that will be familiar to La Boulangerie customers, such as hot quiche, croque monsieur and breakfast sandwiches, salads, fresh baguettes, and more.

A representative said the FiDi café will be the only location to feature a "customizable au lait bar with specialty hot au laits and milk teas," which may be rolled out to other cafés in the future.

Thanks very much to Chris C. for the tip!

La Boulangerie de San Francisco is located at 655 Montgomery St. and is open from 7am–5pm, Monday through Friday.
