The Los Altos Police Department is requesting public assistance in an ongoing investigation concerning a string of crimes that occurred in the early hours of October 16. The department's Facebook post yesterday indicated their need for additional video footage to shed light on the incidents.

The preliminary findings reveal the suspect(s) successfully stole two vehicles, a 2022 Black Volvo XC90, and a 2018 White Chevrolet Suburban, along with burglarizing six other vehicles. They made unsuccessful attempts to enter homes, garages, and additional vehicles. While both stolen vehicles have been recovered, the suspect(s) remain at large, causing concern for local community safety and law enforcement capacity.

The police are encouraging residents living in specific neighborhood areas, outlined in their Facebook post, to scrutinize their home security systems for any suspicious activity during the stipulated crime hours. Their goal is to compile the relevant footage to gain a broader understanding, leading to the identification of the suspect(s).
