A fatal collision between a pickup truck and a sedan on Monday night resulted in the death of a 39-year-old Hayward resident. This incident occurred on Industrial Boulevard and Hesperian Boulevard.

The Hayward Police Department confirmed the deceased woman was in the car with a 36-year-old man, a three-year-old girl, and a nine-year-old girl, all also from Hayward. The pickup truck's driver, a 46-year-old Modesto resident, was unharmed and is cooperating with police.

This has been the ninth fatal accident in Hayward in 2023.
