A fatal collision in San Jose on October 24 took the life of a pregnant woman. Her baby was delivered surgically following the accident but remains in a critical state. The incident marks the 42nd fatal collision and 43rd traffic death for this year in the city. 

The San Jose Police Department (SJPD) stated that the accident involved a 2008 black Nissan sedan, which the pregnant woman was in, and a 2013 white Hyundai sedan, allegedly stolen.

Hoodline reported that the suspected stolen vehicle was occupied by two unknown males who fled the scene after the incident. A 15-year-old male has since been identified as the driver of the stolen vehicle and was arrested on October 28.
