Fishing aficionados, nature lovers, and families looking for a weekend outing won't want to miss the upcoming Lake Sonoma Steelhead Festival. According to a recent press release, the event will celebrate its 15th anniversary on February 10 at the Milt Brandt Visitor Center grounds.

The festival, rain or shine, promises a day of environmentally conscious fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Best of all, it's free to join. However, foodies and wine aficionados will have plenty to splurge on with food trucks and offerings from Bear Republic Brewing and Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley, all set up to tantalize your taste buds in aid of the Friends of Lake Sonoma.

Per the festivities' itinerary, the day is packed with activities suitable for all ages focusing on environmental stewardship, preservation of natural resources, and protecting species at risk. Exhibitors joining the event include the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Sonoma Water, CAL FIRE, and Sonoma County Bowmen, among others.

Don't miss out on the entertainment lined up. SoloRio is set to play live music, and for those who appreciate the soapy science of bubbles, Bubblesmith will be back with their popular bubble shows. If you plan on attending, bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the event.

According to Sonoma County's official press release, the Lake Sonoma Steelhead Festival is a community event and a collaboration. Friends of Lake Sonoma, Sonoma Water, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the California Department of Fish & Wildlife co-host it. Various local sponsors, including the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors and Lake Sonoma Marina, support it.
