A somber silence has fallen over a small community near Montgomery, Texas, where a man and a woman were found dead in their home from apparent gunshot wounds. The discovery was made yesterday evening, as Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene for a welfare check at approximately 9:30 p.m.

The deceased, identified as 62-year-old Stacy Wright and 61-year-old Cathryn Wright were found by authorities at their residence located in the 25900 block of Avenue C, not far from the pastoral stretch of FM 1486 that joins Montgomery to the town of Plantersville. According to FOX 26 Houston, family members had grown concerned after being unable to reach the Wrights, prompting the welfare check that led to the tragic revelation.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has launched a full investigation into the incident, with detectives from the Homicide and Violent Crimes Division collaborating with crime scene investigators to unravel the events that led to this fatal shooting.
