A tragic wave of pool incidents hit the Valley on Monday, with one child left fighting for his life in Phoenix and a Mesa boy dead after drowning. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the Phoenix Fire Department reported that a 5-year-old boy was pulled from an apartment complex pool at around 6:30 p.m. near 35th Avenue and Indian School Road. The child was in extremely critical condition and had to be given CPR by a family member before firefighters arrived.

Meanwhile in Mesa, a 4-year-old boy was unable to be saved after being found in a pool at a residence near Broadway and Sossaman roads. Despite attempts to quickly rush him to the hospital, he was pronounced dead. Investigating authorities have yet to release the child's name or determine the events that led up to his tragic demise, as detailed by 12 News.

Both incidents emphasize the urgency to fully grasp and implement pool safety measures, especially with the onset of warmer weather inviting families to seek solace in the cool embrace of water. Local authorities are urging the public to visit their websites, to take the foremost care when visiting pools with young children.
