'Ministry Of Coffee' Makes Westwood Debut, With Coffee, Tea And MorePhoto: Felix L./Yelp

A new coffee spot, offering breakfast, juices, and more has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1010 Glendon Ave. in Westwood, the fresh arrival is called Ministry Of Coffee.

This new café—which originally got its start in Sydney, Australia, and has another outpost in Istanbul, Turkey—specializes in signature coffee drinks with beans sourced from Columbia, Costa Rica, Honduras and Ethiopia. It also offers teas, smoothies, milk shakes, and more.

On the drink menu, expect to see an array of coffee mainstays like Americanos, mochas, lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites; a green smoothie with baby spinach, spirulina, coconut water, honey, chia seeds, and avocado; and a salted caramel milkshake.

The café serves a variety of breakfast options as well, like a "Bacon & Eggs Roll" served on a brioche bun with a light BBQ mayo or tomato sauce; a Spanish omelet with chorizo, Spanish onions, tomatoes, roasted bell peppers, and feta cheese; and smoked salmon toast with Kipfler potato, spanish onions, arugula, and avocado. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With a four-star rating out of 29 reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has gotten a good response.

Miguel R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 4th, said: "MY NEW FAVORITE COFFEE! Doing a great job after opening a week ago! People giving one star to a newly opened business after a week is just egregious! So I had to share my positive experience!"

Yelper Jonathan W. added: “A brand-new and shiny addition to the Westwood coffee scene. It it a small little cafe next to Trader Joe's with some of the friendliest staff that you could expect to meet.”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Ministry Of Coffee is open daily from 7:30am–10pm.
