If you've got Taiwanese on your mind, you need to know about this recent opening. The new addition to Century City, called Din Tai Fung, is located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd.

"Din Tai Fung gives people throughout the world the opportunity to experience a classic 'taste of Taiwan,'" explains the company's website. After originally starting as a cooking oil retail business in 1958, the company launched as a restaurant in 1972. Today Din Tai Fung has branches all over the world.

On the menu, look for a variety of savory noodles, dumplings and buns. Specialties include  truffle and pork xiaolongbao (a type of Chinese steamed bun) and noodle soup with pickled mustard greens. For dessert, try the sweet taro buns.

With a four-star rating out of 55 reviews on Yelp so far, Din Tai Fung is getting solid feedback from customers.

Ken N., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 8th, said: "The service, the atmosphere and the food are all really well done and on point for a Chinese food restaurant!"

Yelper Garry C. added: “The sixth location to open in Southern California and the first one based in West Los Angeles - Din Tai Fung is the culinary masterpiece when you combine together scientific precision, operational excellence, and Taiwanese cuisine."
