Flatstick Pub

Flatstick Pub recently opened its third and largest location, offering mini golf and a rotating list of Washington-only craft brews in an 11,000-square-foot space.

The mini golf course has nine holes and features elevation changes and moving kegs as obstacles. Also on offer is a game called Duffleboard, a mix of shuffleboard and mini golf. Hungry? Menu options include brick-oven pizzas, salads and bar snacks like beer-battered onion rings and truffle fried mushrooms.

Flatstick Pub is off to a promising start with a current Yelp rating of four stars out of 13 reviews.

Yelper Daniel F. wrote, "The space inside this hot, new location is bright with activity and art. ... The pizza smells amazing, and the fried food options will give you plenty to soak up all the delicious beer you will have during your visit."

Flatstick Pub is open from 11 a.m.–midnight on Monday–Thursday and Sunday and 11–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Birch

Birch is a New American spot headed by chef and owner Jeffrey Kessenich, who offers two dining options: a three-course prix fixe menu and the seven-course chef's tasting, where he delivers his favorite dishes.

On the three-course menu, offerings include king salmon tartare or green tomato gazpacho for the first course; ricotta gnocchi or seared albacore for the second; and entrees like Alaskan king salmon or eggplant and tomato for the final course. Take a look at the full menu here. 

Birch has been receiving positive feedback with a current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of nine reviews.

Yelper Mariana M., who reviewed the restaurant on July 7, wrote, "This place is brand new and already impressing with its great food and amazing views of Lake Union and the Space Needle. Staff was attentive and the ambiance was inviting."

Birch is open from 5–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed Sunday–Thursday.)

Pilates ProWorks

Pilates ProWorks is a fitness chain started by Oscar Sanin and Taylor Carter in San Francisco in 2009. This is the first location in Washington state.

The studio's main class is called 40 Works, a 40-minute workout that combines strength training, lengthening, cardio and resistance to offer a full body workout, the business explains on its website. Other classes combine kickboxing, Pilates and yoga in 40-minute or 55-minute sessions.

With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp, Pilates ProWorks has been getting positive attention.

Yelper Alexandra K. wrote, "I was so excited to find out Pilates ProWorks opened in Seattle! I was a big fan in San Francisco and the experience at this studio was equally as enjoyable. The studio is clean, airy and open."

Pilates ProWorks is open from 6 a.m.–7 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m.–11 a.m. on weekends.
