Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top gluten-free spots around Pittsburgh, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to satisfy your cravings.

1. Gluten Free Goat Bakery

Topping the list is Gluten Free Goat Bakery. Located at 4905 Penn Ave. in Garfield, the bakery is the highest-rated gluten-free restaurant in Pittsburgh, boasting 4.5 stars out of 48 reviews on Yelp.

Gluten Free Goat Bakery is brought to you by Jeanette Harris, who learned she had celiac disease more than a decade ago. At her bakery, she offers up an array of gluten-free and vegan bites made with locally sourced ingredients. Menu items include a Vegan BLT served on toasted rosemary focaccia and made of local heirloom tomato, shiitake bacon, leaf lettuce and garlic cashew cream. Or, check out the Chickpea Waldorf Salad: garbanzos, parsley, red onion, raisins, celery, walnuts and vegan cashew mayo served over organic greens.

2. Gluuteny Bakery

Next up is Squirrel Hill South's Gluuteny Bakery, situated at 1923 Murray Ave. With four stars out of 96 reviews on Yelp, the award-winning bakery has proven to be a local, gluten-free favorite. According to its website, Pittsburgh Magazine's readers voted it Pittsburgh's "Best Gluten Free Fare" in 2017 for the fifth year in a row.

The bakery's menu includes brownies, cookies, donuts, cupcakes and muffins. Custom cakes come in classic yellow, classic chocolate, marble, red velvet, carrot and toasted almond flavors. Or, to bake gluten-free products in the comfort of your own kitchen, check out its 14 gluten-free and dairy-free baking mixes, including pie crust mix, pizza crust mix, pound cake and pumpkin loaf mix.

3. V3 Flatbread Pizza

Central Business District's V3 Flatbread Pizza, located at 11 Fifth Ave., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the gluten-free pizzeria four stars out of 58 reviews. The fast-casual pizza shop allows visitors to create their own pizzas, with custom dough, sauce, unlimited toppings, seasonings, finishes and oil. Gluten-free dough is available for an extra fee. 

4. Earth Inspired Salads

Earth Inspired Salads, a gluten-free spot that offers salads, soup and more in Central Business District, is another go-to, with four stars out of 19 Yelp reviews.

Early birds, check out the gluten-free scrambled egg bowl, made with two cage-free eggs scrambled with two add-ons and your choice of cheddar, feta or Parmesan cheese.
