Topping the list is Elway's. Located at 2500 E. First Ave. in Cherry Creek, the steakhouse is the highest-rated upscale traditional American restaurant in Denver, boasting four stars out of 573 reviews on Yelp.

If you're there for the steaks, you'll find cuts like the New York strip, boneless ribeye and porterhouse. Add-ons include Maine lobster, crab cakes, duck eggs and various sauces. The menu also features Colorado rack of lamb and prime beef enchiladas with Menonita cheese. (See the full dinner menu here.)

David S., who reviewed it on Sept. 2, wrote, "The prime rib and filet were done perfectly! The steaks tasted great. We also had baked potatoes and green beans. The green beans were awesome with the ham and almonds in there. The inside was spacious and clean. Our service was good."
