Looking to hit up the freshest new spots in Dallas? From a breakfast and brunch cafe to a Pilates studio, read on for the newest hot spots to open for business around town.

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is a new breakfast and brunch spot. The chain has other locations around Texas, plus outposts in Colorado, California and Arizona.

The cafe offers dishes like the Breakfast Pot Pie (rosemary sausage gravy over a puff pastry, topped with an egg any style), the Benny Goodman (lox-style salmon and cream cheese served over toasted rye and topped with poached eggs and cream cheese hollandaise) and the Peter Paul Rubens (corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese with Thousand Island dressing on a pretzel roll). With a 4.5-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, Snooze, an A.M. Eatery seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Abby S., who reviewed it on Sept. 30, wrote, "Loved mixing and matching all the best flavors Snooze had to offer. Staff was friendly and hustling! Restaurant was packed even at 9 a.m., but we grabbed a spot at the bar and got our food quickly."

Carlos S. noted, "This is a chain breakfast and brunch place with a great concept and ambiance. It is always crowded on weekends, so be prepared to wait. Well worth the wait, however, with great food and breakfast cocktail drinks."

Merchant House

Merchant House is a bar and New American spot that offers a chef-curated menu of New American cuisine and signature cocktails. 

On the menu, you'll see dishes like the charred hamachi collar (with tortillas, kimchi and tomatillos), the charcoal-grilled wild salmon (with creamed leeks, heirloom tomatoes, kale and salsa verde) and the house-cured turkey BLT (with molasses dark wheat bread, bacon, sage derby cheese and green goddess dressing). Most items can be made vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free upon request. (See the full menu here.)

The full bar serves wine, beer and cocktails, the latter of which includes the Spirit of Oaxaca (Sombra mezcal, lemon, pineapple gomme syrup and green chartreuse) and the Saffron Trail (Aylesbury Duck vodka, lemon and strega). 

With a 4.5-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp so far, the new establishment is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Meaghan C., who reviewed it on Sept. 27, wrote, "The bartender, Marcus, was a really great host! He made such fun cocktails and was so knowledgeable about the menu! The food is great comfort food that has an upscale flair to it! I would recommend the devilish eggs, the Nashville chicken sliders and the Philly cheesesteaks."

K B. noted, "Great new place! Food was decent and the drinks were even better. Staff was friendly. Had a good time, will definitely go back."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Merchant House is open from 5–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.

KIVA Pilates

KIVA Pilates is a new Pilates studio that offers private one-on-one lessons, small group sessions and large group classes.

Variations include Strong Pilates that mixes in strength training and Natal for both pre- and postnatal workouts.

KIVA Pilates is off to a strong start with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Sheridan H., who was the first to review the studio on Sept. 12, wrote, "The workouts here are amazing and the owners even more so. If you want an incredible and different workout, then KIVA is the place for you."

Yelper Roshini K. added, “This studio is gorgeous! Co-owners Meagan and Janine are warm, encouraging and very skilled. Don't be intimidated by the apparatus — they walk you through every step of the way to make sure you have correct form and achieve your goals."
