Looking for the Washington bakery of your dreams? We've found a lineup of new spots worth checking out. Here are the newest places to visit the next time you're in search of a new bakery near you.

Fresh Baguette

1737 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Georgetown

First, there's Fresh Baguette, a new outlet from the Bethesda-based bakery. It promises a very French approach to everything from the mainstay bread loaf of the name — promised fresh every two hours — to stuffed rolls, pastries and sweet treats like madeleines, meringues, brownies and cookies. What's more, you'll also find Peet's coffee and a short sandwich menu.

Fresh Baguette currently holds five stars out of six reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Dave N., who reviewed it on Nov. 1, wrote, "The heart of what makes the other locations stand out is still here, but admittedly it's a little corner shop. You still have what matters — the baguettes, the croissants, desserts, quiche, etc. The sandwich menu is there as well, albeit not as complete as I remember."

Yelper Claudia A. wrote, "This is one of the best spots to take coffee and fresh bread. Smells delicious every morning, and the staff is amazing."

Fresh Baguette is open from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. daily.

Magnolia Bakery

50 Massachusetts Ave. NE, Capitol Hill

Next, New York's Magnolia Bakery has opened an outlet in Union Station. Known for its cupcakes and its banana pudding (not to mention its many appearances in movies and TV shows like "Sex in the City"), you'll encounter lots of other goodies, like cheesecake, bars and brownies. Get it to go — there is no seating inside — along with an espresso drink, and enjoy it as you await your train.

Magnolia Bakery has proved popular thus far, with four stars out of 44 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper David H., who reviewed it on Nov. 3, wrote, "The famous banana pudding was good. Full of flavor, comforting, delicious. The small size for $4.50 is tiny."

Milk Bar Flagship at Logan Circle

1525 15th St. NW, Logan Circle

Finally, there is the Milk Bar Flagship at Logan Circle. Established in New York by a Northern Virginia native, Milk Bar has opened its third Washington location (it's also in CityCenterDC and at the Wharf), which it's calling a flagship store.

Like the other branches, the menu here showcases pastries, cookies and cakes, as well as soft-serve ice cream and other dairy-based treats. What makes the nearly 2,400-square-foot Milk Bar Flagship different is its roomy cafe space, ability to host events and classes, and an innovation lab where you can try new experimental recipes.

Milk Bar Flagship at Logan Circle's current rating of three stars out of 85 reviews on Yelp indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

Yelper Alice C., who visited the shop on Oct. 17, wrote, "The flagship store is conveniently located, and even has a parking lot. There's a small seating area to enjoy your treat in-store, or pack your goodies to go. Don't forget to browse the selection of recipe books and baking mixes if you're a DIY person."

And Christina M. wrote, "It was nice to visit a different location and see how it differs from others — what a treat. I love the birthday cake truffles, the corn cookie and the blueberry cookie. The one thing I don't care for is the cookies aren't fresh baked, so they lose their crispness or freshness when they are prepackaged."

Milk Bar Flagship at Logan Circle is open from 9 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday.
