Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable Thai restaurants around Milwaukee, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture next time you're on the hunt.

1. Thai Kitchen

Topping the list is Thai Kitchen. Located at 2831 N. Oakland Ave., the Thai spot is the highest rated low-priced Thai restaurant in Milwaukee, boasting four stars out of 104 reviews on Yelp.

You'll find Thai classics like tom yum goong (a spicy-sour shrimp soup), papaya salad, panang curry and chicken satay. There's a variety of chicken, beef, pork and noodle dishes made with coconut milk, red or green curries and Thai spices. (View this spot's offerings here.)

2. Vientiane Noodle Shop

Next up is Silver City's Vientiane Noodle Shop, situated at 3422 W. National Ave. With four stars out of 75 reviews on Yelp, the Thai and Laotian spot, offering noodles and more, has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for a budget-friendly option. 

You'll find Thai staples like pad thai, which can be customized with meat, shrimp, tofu or veggies, and khao moo daeng (barbecue pork served with jasmine rice, cucumbers and cilantro). There's also a solid selection of noodle soups, including khao poun, which is a broth of red curry, lemongrass, lime leaf and coconut milk and is available with oxtail or chicken. 3. Thai Bangkok

Last but not least, another top choice is North Meadows's Thai Bangkok, located at 9112 W. Brown Deer Road. Yelpers give the affordable Thai spot four stars out of 74 reviews. 

If you want to dial up the heat, order your food at the highest spice levels.
