DC Audubon Society Bird Walk at Hains Point

First, Hains Point in East Potomac Park is the site in D.C. for the annual Great Backyard Bird Count. Much like the census, this citizen-science project aims to create a snapshot of the distribution and abundance of birds each February. You can expect to see gulls, raptors, sparrows and nuthatches.

Museum of American History Through Music: Guided Tour

Next, Urban Adventures is offering half off their music-focused tour of the National Museum of American History. Your guide will use the museum's exhibits to help explain things like where our national anthem came from, and how spiritual music evolved into blues, jazz, rock n' roll and hip-hop.

Smithsonian American Art Adventures

Dupont Circle & Embassy Row Architecture Tour

Get outdoors with this walking tour. You'll take in some of D.C.'s most impressive architecture, in styles from Neoclassical to Beaux-Arts. At the same time, you'll learn how the events that took place inside them contributed to the nation's history. Stops include the Spanish Steps, the Woodrow Wilson House, the Sheridan Circle and the Christian Heurich Mansion, aka "the Brewmaster's Castle."

Georgetown Architecture Tour
