Phoenix Classical Pilates now open in Santa MonicaPhoto: Molly R./Yelp

A new Pilates spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 2412 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 208 in Santa Monica, the newcomer is called Phoenix Classical Pilates.

The studio, which has three instructors, features private and group classes. It also offers discounts to members of SAG-AFTRA and other industry unions; teachers and administrators; and veterans and people in the military.

With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has been warmly received by patrons.

Alan R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 15, wrote, "I love this studio — it feels like New York. It can be very scary to go into a studio with all those contraptions and ropes like a torture chamber. But Molly is very patient and reassuring and her instructions are clear."

And Alyssa H. wrote, "So happy with the new space! It's beautiful! The exposed brick, the Gratz equipment, the educated and talented teachers! Come see this amazing and intimate studio with incredible classical trainers."

Phoenix Classical Pilates is now open at 2412 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 208., so stop in to try it for yourself.
