First up is Go Nonna, a restaurant serving authentic Italian and Argentine cuisine.

Located just a block from the Court Square subway station, Go Nonna offers traditional dishes from across Italy. To start, try the Sicilian-style veal meatballs over polenta, the fried shrimp and calamari or the mozzarella and tomato salad. For pasta, Go Nonna offers pappardelle with short rib ragu, Roman-style bucatini carbonara, gnocchi and more, and entrees include chicken parm, grilled salmon and Argentine hangar steak with chimichurri sauce. Family-sized portions of select dishes are available for parties of five or more.

With a five-star Yelp rating out five reviews, Go Nonna has been getting positive attention from clientele.

Yelper Grant J., who reviewed Go Nonna on Aug. 16, wrote, "All the food [is] made fresh and in visible sight with the open kitchen. Best Carbonara I've ever had. It was flavorful, and the sauce was to-die-for. The chicken parm was also amazing. We got a tiramisu on the house and that was light, tasty and perfect."

Go Nonna is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Friday and from 2 p.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

The menu at Chairman Sun features classic Sichuan fare with pork, beef, poultry and lamb, as well as traditional dim sum-style small plates like soup dumplings, turnip cakes, pork buns and chicken feet. Chairman Sun also offers a wide array of seafood. Check out signature dishes like the steamed whole fish with chopped chili, the braised fish fillet with pickled mustard and the sauteed frog. The dining room, which features a faux cherry blossom tree, is able to accommodate large parties, and the restaurant is currently BYOB.

Chairman Sun currently holds four stars out of 38 reviews on Yelp, indicating a solid response from visitors.

Yelper Steve L., who reviewed Chairman Sun on Aug. 19, wrote, "The food is absolutely delightful. There were several service hiccups ... but this place is brand-new, and the food quality more than makes up for the growing pains. Super happy that a place of this caliber opened up nearby!"

Delphine L. noted, "We had chili frog and sour string beans with pork. Definitely recommended if you are into spicy food!"

Chairman Sun is open from 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Last but not least, ICONYC Brewery & Biergarten is a brewery and beer bar.

This is the second outpost of the local microbrewery, which opened its first taproom in Astoria. The new Long Island City spot, which features an outdoor patio, pours up to a dozen ICONYC beers.
