A new cafe has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 218 N. Tejon St., Suite 110, in downtown Colorado Springs, the fresh arrival is called Bird Tree Cafe.
The cafe serves up fresh soups, salads and sandwiches, and soon will offer bone broth, according to its website. Featured menu items include a fried chicken breakfast sandwich with maple Cholula aioli and cheddar cheese, a pork belly waffle, a yogurt bowl with fresh fruit and Caesar salad.
Bird Tree Cafe has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Diana L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 20, wrote, "Great coffee and convenient downtown location. Will definitely be coming back for their yummy chorizo and avocado breakfast sandwich."
And Michael T. wrote, "Great sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Cuban. But the meatball and the Italian are also really good."
Stop by and check out Bird Tree Cafe. It's open from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and Sunday, 7 a.m.-9:30 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturday.
