"Today, Mendoza is earning raves for this off-Strip joint that serves drinks the old-fashioned way, with homemade mixers, fresh fruit and pre-Prohibition revelry."

As to what the business is known for, "Specializing in the craft of the cocktail, with all hand-pressed juices, a large selection of great spirits, house-made bitters, etc.," it notes on Yelp.

Oscar's Steakhouse in the Plaza Hotel and Casino, 1 Main Street, downtown, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the fancy restaurant and cocktail bar four stars out of 670 reviews.

The site can tell you a thing or two more about Oscar's Steakhouse.

"Former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman opened the unique Las Vegas steakhouse inside the iconic dome of the Plaza Hotel and Casino overlooking Fremont Street and the heart of downtown Las Vegas," the business's Yelp profile states. "Oscar's Steakhouse features perfectly aged steaks cooked over a 600-degree grill. Flavorful, tender and juicy, our beef is cooked to perfection."

Furthermore, we found this: "Classic ambiance, handcrafted cocktails, perfectly aged steaks, fresh seafood and made-from-scratch sides," it writes on Yelp.

The Steakhouse at Treasures is another much-loved, pricey go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 13 Yelp reviews. Head over to 2801 Westwood Drive to see for yourself.

Yelper Jo S., who reviewed the restaurant on July 14, wrote, "The steakhouse and the strip pub share the same main entrance, but once you enter the building, you take a left to the dining area.  It is completely  separate and you don't get to see the stage.  ... Although the menu was small, we enjoyed everything we ordered: rack of lamb, filet mignon, New York bone-in ribeye, mushrooms, mashed potatoes and asparagus."

And Jay A. noted, "OK, I know what you're thinking, a steakhouse inside a strip club? How could it be any good? This was one of the best steaks I have had in my 12 years in Las Vegas."
