Topping the list is Sticky Fingers. Located at 1370 Park Road NW in Columbia Heights, it is the highest-rated budget-friendly vegan restaurant in Washington, boasting four stars out of 895 reviews on Yelp.

The site can tell you a thing or two more about the bakery.

"Doron Petersan, a longtime vegan animal activist with a discerning sweet tooth and nutrition background, decided once and for all to do something about the lack of rich and satisfying desserts for those who eschew animal products," the business says on its Yelp profile.

Furthermore, we found this about the business's signature items: "We specialize in egg and dairy-free desserts and deli foods — all 100% vegan," it states on Yelp. "From sticky cinnamon buns to wedding cakes, sandwiches to lasagna, we can satiate a sweet tooth or provide for your next lunch meeting. Come into our award-winning cafe for free Wi-Fi during the week, lunch specials, delicious coffee drinks and meatless meals."

2. Turning Natural

Next up is Capitol Hill's Turning Natural, situated at 1380 H St. NE. With 4.5 stars out of 63 reviews on Yelp, it has proved to be a local favorite for those looking for an inexpensive option.

Yelper Alise G., who reviewed Turning Natural on Dec. 17, 2019, wrote, "This juice spot is amazing. The spinach patties are a must."

Monique M. wrote, "Every time I need to cleanse or just eat a lighter breakfast or lunch, I come here. Almost every juice tastes good, even the 50 Shades of Green. I like the spinach patty as well."

3. Soupergirl

Downtown's Soupergirl, located at 1829 M St. NW, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the affordable vegan spot four stars out of 63 reviews.

The site can tell you a thing or two more about the restaurant.

"Soupergirl was founded by a mother-daughter team that wanted to bring healthy, locally sourced, delicious soup to the hungry citizens of Washington, D.C.," according to the business's Yelp profile. "Inspired by the local food movement, Soupergirl (Sara) and Soupermom (Marilyn) began the business in 2008 by delivery to people's homes and offices. In 2011 they opened their first store in Takoma, D.C."

Furthermore, we found this about the business's signature items: "Serving five different rotating seasonal soups each day," it notes on Yelp. "Plus, a huge variety of salads. Soups and salads available in small, medium and large sizes."
