Escondido Physician's Assistant Charged with Sexual Battery at Temecula Healthcare FacilitySource: Google Street View

A physician's assistant is in hot water facing allegations of sexual battery against a patient at a Temecula healthcare facility, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The accused, identified as 70-year-old Harold Thomas Frank of Escondido, was apprehended by authorities on December 6 following a search warrant carried out as part of an ongoing investigation. Riverside Sheriff's Department reports that the vile acts occurred during medical visits within the confines of an examination room.

Details of the alleged incident, which took place in November, surfaced when the Southwest Sheriff’s Station Investigations Bureau received the troubling accusations against Frank. While in the examination room of the healthcare facility located in the 27000 block of Enterprise Circle, the licensed physician's assistant reportedly victimized a patient. In an area meant for healing, the suspect was taken into custody and subsequently booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on a charge of sexual battery.

The seriousness of the situation is not lost on the investigators, as they look into the possibility that Frank may have taken advantage of other unsuspecting individuals during their medical exams. The Sheriff's Department is urging any other potential victims to step forward, an effort led by Investigator Dawn Gouvion. Gouvion can be reached at 951-696-3000 for those who may have further information or have been subject to similar experiences at the hands of Frank.

The investigation remains active and no further details have been disclosed as of now.
