ATXN's 'Sound ON!' to Amplify Austin's Musical Tapestry with Weekly Live Showcase of Local TalentSource: City of Austin

Austin’s music buffs are about to get an electrifying treat right from the city’s heart as ATXN rolls out its latest series to keep tabs on, “Sound ON!”. Striking all the right chords, the newfangled show is pegged to be a treasure trove of live gigs and deep-dive chit-chats featuring local music stalwarts. By the looks of it, the City of Austin government access channel might just have another hit show on its hands after the Emmy-clenching "Notes in Time", as reported by the City of Austin.

Every Austinite truly knows that the city's soul is strummed to the tune of its diverse music. Serving as a rich canvas of sounds spanning blues to indie and every genre in between, “Sound ON!” vows to throw a spotlight on the artists rendering Austin’s music scene a cut above. In collaboration with Ice Cream Factory Studio and the City’s Music & Entertainment Division, the series has been conjured up to bolster and celebrate the cacophonous symphony that is Austin. Featuring performances that would set fire to the rain, ATXN has got its lens zoomed in on the crème de la crème of Austin's music ensemble.

Burton Fitzsimmons, station honcho at ATXN, couldn't contain his elation as he spilled the beans to “ ATXN”, gushing, “We are excited to introduce 'Sound ON!' to our viewers, offering a front-row seat to the extraordinary talent that defines Austin's music scene.” With palpable excitement vibrating through the airwaves, the show’s inaugural bang comes courtesy of Chief Cleopatra, doling out melodies on March 8 at 7 PM. Loyalists and noobs alike, browsing through ATXN.TV or striking up ATXN’s YouTube channel will strike gold, according to the City of Austin.

Tuning in weekly is a must as “Sound ON!” dishes out a new episode every Friday at 7 PM in March, unlocking access to the likes of Brother Thunder and Moving Panoramas, to drop a few heavyweight names from their stellar roster. Tomar & The FCs, famous for sparking soulful grooves will also be one among the parade of musical talent heating the ATXN lineup.
