Lost in the convenience of digital communication, the chatbot's purpose is to reduce the inundation of calls to the department's info line, paving the way hopefully for fewer wait times.

Available 24/7, the chatbot can be accessed by visiting OCRecorder.com and clicking the chat bubble icon on the screen's lower right corner. Customers are invited to simply type their questions into the window and await swift responses. CRBot's reach extends to on-the-move individuals, being compatible with mobile devices too.

While CRBot can handle most questions, it knows its limits. Complex inquiries might require human touch, directing users to a live chat agent during office hours. The department's information line, at (714) 834-2500, still stands ready for those who prefer a more traditional method of inquiry, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on holidays.
