Tragedy struck a San Antonio neighborhood where a father is said to have ended the lives of his own family before setting their home ablaze and committing suicide. This harrowing incident took place on March 8, around 10:30 a.m., when emergency crews were called to a raging inferno in the 4400 block of Wrangler Run, as reported by Fox San Antonio. Amidst neighbors' initial reports of an explosion, firefighters discovered the family of four deceased inside what was once their home.

San Antonio Police Department findings indicate the father, Alfredo Pescador, 44, had fatally shot his wife Blanca Pescador, 40; his daughter Leslie Pescador, 19; and his son Alfredo Pescador Jr., 13. Following the murders, Pescador reportedly set the home on fire before taking his own life with a firearm. Neighbors and friends described the family as beloved in the community, struggling to grasp the enormity of the loss. "Our whole world was turned upside down," a family member said in a statement obtained by KENS 5.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's office confirmed that three of the victims died from gunshot injuries before the fire.

Amidst the mourning, the relatives have initiated a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs and bring the victims' bodies back to El Paso, where Blanca was born and raised. They have extended an invitation to the public for support, a link to which can be found provided by Fox San Antonio. "As we want very much to celebrate their life, it is a very difficult and emotional time for us to conduct an interview and be talking about this incident right now," the statement read.
