An early morning hike in the storied Hollywood Hills took a sudden turn when a female hiker suffered an injury today. Stranded in the rugged landscape, firefighters were dispatched at 08:36 AM to rescue the individual near the iconic Hollywood Sign. The hiker was immobilized due to a lower extremity injury, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Assisted by an adult female, the injured hiker was perched in a location that was described as remote, challenging the efforts of the team working to secure her safety.

The incident, identified with number INC#0457, saw a wide array of units responding including E82 and RA82 from Fire Station 82, and specialized units such as Urban Search and Rescue 27.
