Fort Worth Allocates $180K to Combat Tire Waste Through Partnership with All American Tire RecyclersSource: City of Fort Worth, Texas

FORT WORTH's tire problem is getting a $180K fix. The City Council has greenlit a deal with All American Tire Recyclers to handle tire recycling and waste management, according to the City of Fort Worth.

The move comes as the city's Environmental Services Department sought expertise, the agreement set to provide the necessary equipment, staff, and tools to take, process, and recycle or bin the scrap tires from Oct. 1. All American Tire Recyclers, touted as a completely green operation in the Fort Worth area, turns old rubber into roads, energy solutions, and other recycled merchandise.

So if you're living in Fort Worth and have old tires cluttering up the garage, there's no curbside pickup to bail you out. But don't fret. The city has got you covered with four drop-off points where you can lose those tires at no charge.

Residents looking to ditch old tires can take up to four passenger vehicle tires, every six months to these stations without spending a dime— these free recycling or sage disposal stations are a part of the city's effort to keep things clean and prevent, any would-be rubber landfills from popping up in neighborhoods.
