Chaos ensued on the streets when a man led deputies on a wild chase with a small child standing up in his vehicle, officials say. Constable Mark Herman's Office deputies spotted the alarming scene on May 22, 2024, during a patrol in the 12900 block of Blackpool Lane. Instead of pulling over when officers initiated a stop, the driver, Edin Cac-Che, hit the gas, sparking a hectic pursuit, according to a recent Facebook post by the Constable's Office.

The chase ended when constable deputies managed to bring the vehicle to a halt, and Cac-Che was taken into custody, during the incident no injuries were reported, but the sight of a child unrestrained and at grave risk underscored a troubling disregard for safety. Child Protective Services were promptly notified and took details of the case, stating that the child was subsequently released to the care of a responsible guardian who arrived at the scene, something that could've turned out much worse considering the potential hazards involved.
In a decided move to hold Cac-Che accountable, he was arrested and charged with child endangerment and evading arrest in a motor vehicle. The suspect found himself behind bars at the Harris County Jail, where a judge has set his bond at a steep $25,000. "Edin Cac-Che was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Child Endangerment and Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle," declared Constable Mark Herman in a statement clearly troubled by the recklessness displayed.
