Early Sunday morning in Leander, Texas, a wandering little pig known as Pumpkin became the center of a minor escapade. The Leander Police Department took to Facebook at 8:50 a.m. to broadcast Pumpkin's unusual journey through North Creek Estates, on Encinita Dr, as reported by CBS Austin.

With humor, the police department shared, "What did the pig do when it came to a pork in the road? It pigged the road less traveled." However, Pumpkin's freedom was short-lived. Approximately thirty minutes after the initial post, the department updated the public, affirming, "This lil’ piggy, Pumpkin, has gone home!" The Leander Police Department's effort to swiftly locate Pumpkin's owner reflected a community-oriented approach that helps to swiftly resolve even the most unexpected situations.

Photos of Pumpkin's brief detainment in the back of a police cruiser accompanied the social media posts. These images sparked delight among the community members, as they witnessed their local law enforcement officers taking the time to care for an animal in need.
