Friends of Choi came across his phone lying on the sidewalk near the corner of Caesar Chavez and South 1st Street at approximately 5:45 p.m. which is unusual for him, to leave his phone in such a manner. Notably, Choi was without his wallet and phone when he went missing, and given his medical needs, the APD considers his current status worrisome. They have put forth a call to action for anyone who might have seen Choi or knows of his whereabouts.

Choi is an Asian male with straight black hair, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 130 pounds. A distinctive feature is his limited use of his right arm, which could be an identifying characteristic for those trying to spot him. When he was last seen, Daniel Choi was wearing blue swim shorts adorned with a bird print and a blue tee shirt.
