Carrollton Marketing Efforts Shine with Three State Awards at TAMIO ConferenceSource: City of Carrollton, Texas

The City of Carrollton Marketing Services Department has scooped up three state marketing and communications awards, making a significant splash at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference this month. Carrollton's innovative approach to municipal communication earned top spots in various categories, including two crucial first-place awards.

Among the accolades was a first-place prize for their 2022 Popular Annual Financial Report, and they also claimed a win for their 2023 Festival at the Switchyard video, a marketing PSA that has ostensibly resonated with the state's municipal communicators, the third-place Award of Honor was bestowed on their creatively humorous 'Meet the Goat Squad 2023' video which has seemingly caught the fancy of the judges in the best use of humor category. Their success comes amidst a competitive field that saw around 700 contenders vie for recognition; Carrollton's entries stood out for their clarity, engagement, and intrinsic push to inform their community members.

"Carrollton strives to be the community that families and businesses want to call home, and our hardworking staff prioritize communication and engagement as part of those efforts. I’m extremely proud to see the City’s work recognized among approximately 700 contenders from such a talented group of industry professionals, " said Kelli Lewis, Carrollton’s Marketing Director, according to the City of Carrollton, Texas.
