Tragedy struck in Clearwater early Saturday morning when 24-year-old Isaiah Fields was fatally shot. FOX 13 News reports that the Clearwater Police Department and Clearwater Fire Rescue were dispatched to the 200 block of South Starcrest Drive around 4 a.m. in response to the incident.

Fields was found at the scene with a gunshot wound and subsequently rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Later that day, Clearwater police had made an arrest in connection with the shooting. Treco De’Andre Miller, 27, has been charged with second-degree murder after a dispute in Miller’s apartment led to gunfire, according to officials. As revealed by WFLA, the two men were allegedly together in the apartment with others when the argument broke out.

Investigators indicated that the other individuals present at the time of the shooting remained on the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation. There was no immediate threat posed to the public, officials reassured in statements released in the aftermath of the shooting.
