Ray and Maranda Ankofski from Pearland have vanished without a trace while on their regular outdoor adventure. Their family pleads for assistance in the continuance of the search. A report by the Houston Chronicle details a GoFundMe campaign, launched by their daughter Ashlynn, which has accrued over $17,000 to fuel the rescue efforts that terribly may have to be scaled back due to financial constraints.

According to a statement obtained by ABC13, a UTV linked to the couple was discovered, "It's flipped over, heavily damaged," but their whereabouts remain unknown. This, coupled with the discovery of scattered personal items, paints a concerning picture. A deluge that hit the area on Friday saw rescue teams scrambling to save 20 individuals in a single mission, leading to the unnerving possibility that the couple too was caught in the dangerous conditions.

Ray's sister, Judy Lamb, expressed the family's profound distress, "We're all devastated," she told ABC13. Lamb, not one to easily hand over hopes to despair, insists that the couple's avid experience in outdoor pursuits lends to a possibility that they could survive this ordeal. 

Amidst the tangible anguish, Ashlynn Ankofski's words echo a poignant but steadfast resolve on the GoFundMe page, "We want nothing more than to bring our parents home regardless of the outcome and unfortunately this might require the help of sources outside of law enforcement," articulating both the desperate need for support and the stark reality facing the family.
