The Dallas City Council sanctioned a Chapter 380 economic development grant of up to $1,854,995 to aid the Power & Light Project @ Cedars. This notable mixed-income, multi-family development is situated in the Cedars neighborhood, just outside downtown Dallas, according to the City of Dallas.

The project, which is expected to cost $83.5 million, will include 310 residential units, with 50% allocated for low and moderate-income tenants. This endeavor aims to offer much-needed affordable housing and amenities while restoring a historic building.

The city's grant will help cover the expense of replacing an antiquated wastewater line on Ervay Street, parts of which are over a century old. Low Ervay, LLC, the developer, intends to replace around 3,000 linear feet of the outdated and undersized wastewater line with new piping, ranging from 10” to 21” in diameter. This infrastructure improvement will support the Power & Light Project and future developments within the 60-acre sewershed.
