The Detroit Police are intensifying their efforts to locate Timaia Jones, a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since June 8. Timaia was last seen in the vicinity of her home on the 14500 block of Sussex, near Greenfield and W. Grand River Ave, WWJ 950 Newsradio reports

Described as a Black female about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 123 pounds, Timaia has brown hair and brown eyes, and at the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black ‘Nike’ hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts, and black Crocs shoes. The Detroit Police Department's 2nd Precinct, under the command of Anthony O'Rourke, has been working to gather information and leads, and the public with any useful information regarding Timaia's whereabouts is encouraged to come forward, according to a Facebook post by the Detroit Police Department's Missing Unit.

Community concern has been growing as days pass without a trace of Timaia following her unpermitted leaving from home; her safety and swift return are of utmost importance.
