Last Tuesday night, technology played a pivotal role in the arrest of three juveniles following a vehicle theft in Fairfield. According to the Fairfield, CA Police Department's Facebook page, a FLOCK safety camera system alerted dispatch to a stolen vehicle at approximately 11:48 p.m. The vehicle was spotted near the intersection of North Texas and Airbase Parkway.

The Fairfield Police employed their network of cameras to track the vehicle as it traveled south on North Texas Street. The coordinated efforts led officers directly to the suspect vehicle. Upon attempt to initiate a stop, the driver of the stolen car failed to yield, resulting in a short pursuit through the city streets.

The chase came to a swift conclusion when the stolen vehicle crashed into a vacant building at the corner of North Texas Street and Travis Boulevard. Fairfield Police stated that the driver was taken into custody immediately following the collision. However, two additional passengers made a brief escape on foot but were eventually apprehended by law enforcement.

All individuals involved in the incident were identified as juveniles. The names and further details about the suspects have not been disclosed due to their age.
