A routine traffic stop in Fairfield on Sunday night led to the arrest of a 19-year-old woman on multiple weapons charges. Officer Balhotra pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of East Tabor Avenue and Kidder Avenue at approximately 10:30 pm. The stop resulted in the discovery of a loaded handgun within the vehicle's glove box.

Following the establishment of probable cause, the officer performed a thorough search. Upon inspection, the firearm was found not to be registered.

As reported by the Fairfield Police Department, the driver was Mirandized and then admitted to possessing the handgun. The woman was subsequently booked into the County Jail facing serious charges, which included carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm.
