The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that an SUV traveling southbound on IH-37 inexplicably veered off the road around 10:15 a.m. before overturning. The incident tragically scattered passengers across the asphalt, with several individuals being ejected from the vehicle. In a statement obtained by FOX San Antonio, DPS confirmed that these passengers sustained serious injuries and were subsequently transported to the University Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The driver of the SUV, identified as 35-year-old Felix Ramirez, did not survive the crash. Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, with DPS personnel sifting through the debris for clues and eyewitness accounts that might shed light on the terrible occurrence.
