Fort Worth's Rose Marine Theater to Screen 'Vicuña Salvation': A Tale of Conservation SuccessSource: City of Fort Worth

In the heart of Fort Worth's cultural landscape, the Rose Marine Theater is poised to showcase an enthralling tale of ecological triumph and human empowerment with the film Vicuña Salvation. On Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m., Movies That Matter-Latino invites audiences to dive into the story of the vicuña and its luxurious fiber once on the brink of extinction but now a conservation success, thanks to the efforts of those 15,000 feet up in the Peruvian mountains.

Bringing more than just a cinematic experience, the event at 1440 N. Main St., which calls the Artes de la Rosa Fort Worth Cultural Center its home, will also include a thought-provoking panel discussion free of charge, allowing attendees to delve deeper and perhaps, inspire local conversations about conservation and cultural empowerment. Spectators can secure their spot by registering online before the seats fill up, according to the City of Fort Worth.

The mission of Movies That Matter-Latino, a union between the City of Fort Worth Human Relations Commission and Artes de la Rosa is to highlight and celebrate the rich diversity within Latino culture with quarterly film series events in March, June, September, and December. Vicuña Salvation is their latest effort in this endeavor, providing not just entertainment but also enlightenment on international environmental issues and the pivotal role indigenous communities play in them.
