Hernando County Detectives Apprehend Sexual Predator for Social Media Parole ViolationSource: Hernando County Sheriff's Office

Hernando County Sheriff's Office, during an assist with a prisoner transport for the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Services, apprehended sexual predator Donald Paul Lee Eisenhart for breaching the conditions of his parole. The offense, using an unregistered social media account, was a direct violation of parole stipulations that mandated Eisenhart to consent to the search of all electronic devices.

Detective G. Marcacci, working in conjunction with Probation and Parole, not only discovered but also acted upon Eisenhart's parole violation. Upon authorization and execution of a search warrant on Eisenhart's smartphone, the detective confirmed the presence of the unreported and unregistered social media account. According to the sheriff's office press release, Eisenhart, having been incarcerated, subsequently admitted ownership of the rogue account.

Eisenhart's transgression was not taken lightly by the law enforcement community. On June 21, 2024, he faced an interview with Detective Marcacci at the Hernando County Detention Center where, post Miranda, he conceded to the account's existence and his connection to it. This confession led to charges specifically for "Failure to Report Internet Identifier Account," as noted in the press release.
