Last night, a confrontation erupted into gunfire at a Houston corner store, leaving two individuals wounded in a chaotic scene that unfolded around 10:54 pm. According to FOX26 Houston, a group was targeted by assailants driving a small gray sedan who rapidly fired on them with a rifle. Amidst the barrage, a young man in his mid-20s suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was seen firing a pistol back at the car.

As this scene of violence stormed the 3300 block of Greens Street, an HPD constable from Precinct 6, who was initially attending to a call about fireworks, rushed to provide critical medical assistance to the wounded man. Per CW39, the officer found the group fleeing and over 40 shell casings littering the scene, signaling the ferocity of the exchange.

Both injured men, including a second male who arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the forearm, are in stable condition. Investigators are currently working to determine if the wounds of the latter stem from a separate incident or if they are linked to the Greens Street shooting. Houston Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue to investigate the motives and identities of those involved.
