A man was gravely injured in a shooting incident that occurred in West Seattle's High Point neighborhood. On Wednesday, before 7 p.m., emergency services received a distressing call about gunshots detected in an apartment on the 6300 block of 34th Avenue Southwest, witnesses reported noises, people scrambling, and a sense of urgency permeated the scene, as reported by the Seattle Police Department.

When officers arrived, they discovered a 26-year-old man in the building's hallway, who was suffering from a concerning gunshot wound to his lower abdomen; in a timely response, police administered necessary care until paramedics from the Seattle Fire Department arrived and took over medical duties, as per the Seattle Police Department. The victim, afterward, was swiftly transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he was reported to be in serious condition.
