The yearly tradition of FreedomFest is upon us once more, bringing together the community for an evening of music, food, and fireworks. With June 29th marked on calendars across town, NAS Fort Worth JRB is set to host this popular event starting at 5:00 pm. Festivities kick into high gear with live music at 6:00 pm, leading up to the much-anticipated fireworks display set to commence after dusk, according to NAS JRB Fort Worth.

Potential attendees must note that standard base access procedures will be enforced, including a valid ID card requirement at the Main Gate. Road closures will begin at noon, specifically the paths from CDC to the lakeshore and towards the Navy Lodge. Limited parking is available in designated lots, and there will be an additional provision for guests requiring handicapped access.

Water enthusiasts can still indulge in lake activities with kayaks and canoe rentals available until the evening. However, they take notice that the boat ramp will be closed for the day's events. Although swimming is permitted, attendees do so at their own risk, with no lifeguards on duty. As such, safety is a personal responsibility.

Complementing the entertainment will be a range of food trucks on-site, ensuring revelers can feast as heartily as they celebrate. Cash transactions are encouraged to expedite service, though cards will also be accepted. FreedomFest's family-friendly environment extends to a Kid Zone, replete with water bounce houses and face painting activities, though guardians must accompany children and sign appropriate waivers.
