San Antonio's CPS Energy to Temporarily Limit Services Due to Weekend MaintenanceSource: CPS Energy

San Antonio residents relying on CPS Energy will experience limited services this weekend due to planned system maintenance. In a statement obtained by FOX San Antonio, CPS Energy detailed that maintenance activities would begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, June 29, and continue through noon on Sunday, June 30. Consequently, the utility provider will restrict services to emergency gas and electric outages only during this period.

Customers who may need to manage their accounts, use online tools, or process payments are encouraged to complete transactions before Saturday. Amid the maintenance window, such functionalities, including the Manage My Account portal and outage reporting will be unavailable. Notably, "There will be no customer disconnects during the maintenance window," according to information from CPS Energy's newsroom.

The widespread system upgrade will affect several customer interfaces. This includes not just web-based offerings but also the automated phone system that normally allows customers to check balances, make payment arrangements, and modify account information autonomously. Additional payment methods such as EZ Pay credit card services and Western Union transactions at HEB locations will be suspended temporarily during the given timeframe.

CPS Energy anticipates restoring all affected services by midday Sunday, asserting that normal business operations will resume at the start of the following week at 7:00 am on Monday, July 1. For customers facing genuine gas or electric emergencies, CPS Energy has provided hotline numbers, "(210) 353-HELP (4357)" and "210-353-2222", accessible round-the-clock, as a means to report issues that may arise while other services are momentarily offline.
