A woman stands accused of fatally shooting a man at a northwest-side apartment complex in San Antonio following an escalation of an argument, as per police reports. The San Antonio Police Department apprehended 24-year-old Alexis Salazar early Saturday on charges of murder after officers discovered a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers responded to a call at the Villas De Sendero apartments, located in the 8000 block of Timber Path, around 1:50 a.m., where they found the victim bleeding on a sidewalk. Initially, as KENS 5 reports, Salazar informed them that an unknown person approached and shot the man when she was outside with him.

The victim was transported to the hospital in a critical condition and was later pronounced dead, as revealed by the authorities. During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered evidence that contradicted Salazar's account of the events, including a shell casing found inside the apartment. This led the investigators to surmise that the argument between Salazar and the man preceded the fatal shooting, according to KSAT.

Having been detained at the scene for questioning, Salazar's relationship to the deceased, who detectives believe to be her significant other, added a layer of complexity to the tragic narrative. The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that their investigation is ongoing, seeking to understand fully the circumstances that led to the shooting and subsequent death of the man, who they had arrested Salazar in connection with his death.
