Following a nearly three-month investigation into a fatal stabbing in Northeast, D.C., police have apprehended a suspect. The incident, which claimed the life of 33-year-old Devon Greenfield of Northeast, took a turn yesterday when authorities made an arrest.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the stabbing occurred on April 1, 2024. Sixth District officers arrived at the 300 block of 61st Street, Northeast at 7:14 p.m. after they received reports of a 'person down'. Upon arrival, they discovered Greenfield with stab wounds, attempts by DC Fire and EMS to save his life were unsuccessful, and he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

In recent developments, 37-year-old David Tyrone Key was arrested yesterday under a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant. The police have charged Key with First Degree Murder while Armed for his alleged connection to Greenfield's demise.
