Early Sunday morning in Seattle's Chinatown-International District, a violent altercation left two men injured from gunshot wounds, and a suspect now faces charges. The Seattle Police Department responded to the incident that unfolded at the intersection of 8th Avenue South and South King Street around 12:29 a.m., where officers discovered the victims, as reported by the SPD Blotter.

The Seattle Fire Department provided immediate aid to a 37-year-old male and a 28-year-old male before transporting them to Harborview Medical Center. Both men are currently in stable condition, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. During the chaos, officers were able to locate a suspect, a 24-year-old male hiding within an apartment, after determining the shots were fired from a second-story window, as per the Seattle Police Department.

According to the Seattle Police Department, upon arrest, the suspect was also found to have an unrelated medical issue and was treated at the hospital. Following his discharge, he was booked into the King County Jail, facing two counts of Assault 1st Degree. Near the window from where the shots were believed to have been fired, police found a firearm and subsequently confiscated multiple weapons and firearm accessories from the residence after obtaining a search warrant.
