Two suspects, identified as Junus Hayes and Christopher Smith, were apprehended on June 25 after a bold daylight robbery of a postal worker in the 21800 block of Mount Hunt Drive. According to the Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman, the felony incident involved the display of a handgun and the theft of postal keys before the suspects made their getaway.

Acting on the victim's information, deputies were able to track down the suspects' vehicle. Displaying the handgun during the robbery, deputies conducted a routine traffic stop, which led to the discovery of the loaded firearm, a mask, and the stolen postal keys inside the suspect's car. As reported by Constable Herman's post, both occupants of the vehicle were detained and charges were swiftly made.

"Junus Hayes and Christopher Smith were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. Their bonds have not been set at this time out of the 183rd and 232nd District Court. Additional charges pending investigation by the Federal U.S. Postal Inspection Services," a statement by Constable Herman's office.
